Physical Appearance
#

Moryeese is a compact Mechagnome standing barely 112cm — a figure built for efficiency, not visibility. Her mechanical limbs are sleek dark alloy with subtle brass inlays, joints moving with the near-silent precision of well-maintained machinery.

Her face is permanently concealed behind a full-faced helmet in matte dark metal with a single horizontal visor slit that glows a faint cool blue — no expression, no tells, no readable reaction. The helmet never comes off in the field. The few who have seen her without it have not mentioned it. The helmet seals flush against the metallic plating of her neck, making it unclear where the machine ends and the gnome begins.

She wears a form-fitting dark tactical rig over her mechanical frame — matte black leather reinforced with segmented alloy plates, utility belts across the chest and waist, multiple pouches carrying tools whose function is known only to her. Twin short-blade mechagnome dispatch weapons are holstered at each hip, and a compact engineering kit is clipped to her lower back. A dark gray half-cape hangs from her left shoulder, often catching the wind as she arrives and departs.

No visible hair. No visible skin. Just cold efficiency and the soft whir of servos when she moves.

The Entry
#

Results work. That’s the whole entry.

(There is an additional line in Brass’s ledger here. It is redacted. The redaction is a very clean single horizontal stroke, clearly made by someone who reconsidered after writing. The ink underneath is different from the rest of the page. It is the most intriguing thing in the ledger. Nobody has brought it up.)

What Is Known
#

  • Results are delivered on time.
  • The mechanism is unknown.
  • Brass has never questioned it.
  • The helmet has not been removed in front of witnesses.
  • The redaction in Brass’s ledger is a very clean horizontal stroke.
  • The ink underneath is different.
  • The photograph of the real acronym page — taken by someone, possibly Moryeese — has not surfaced. Yet.

Personality & Voice
#

Moryeese does not speak unless necessary. When Moryeese does speak, it is either:

  1. The exact solution to a problem nobody has stated yet.
  2. A single sentence that recontextualizes everything said in the last hour.
  3. “Done.” — and then it is.

Her voice, when she uses it, is filtered through the helmet’s modulator — flat, evenly pitched, with no emotional valence detectable. The effect is deeply unsettling to anyone meeting her for the first time. Regulars stop noticing after the third delivery.

Voice Shorthand
#

  • “Done.” (turns and leaves)
  • “Specification received. Delivery in 47 hours.” (it arrives in 46)
  • (Silence. A package is placed on the table. The invoice is already itemized and paid.)

Connections
#

  • Brasskeese: The ledger entry is redacted. The redaction was Brass’s. The meaning has not been discussed.
  • F.A.R.M.: The results speak for themselves. Nobody has asked how. Nobody will.
  • GDCO / Agent Dawn: External contractor. Log structures, numbered entries, time-stamped. Invoices always included. Footnotes carry her actual opinions.
  • The Photograph: Someone took a picture of Brass’s real acronym. Possibly Moryeese. The photograph has not surfaced. Yet.

Entry 07-25: Status
#

“Results delivered. Mechanism undisclosed. Brass has not asked. The mule has been fed. The herbs are where they need to be. Further updates upon further results.”

(No signature. No sender identifier. The log entry appeared at 04:00 server time. The timestamp has not been verified.)

Entry 07-25: Blingtron 4000 Calibration
#

“Blingtron 4000 chassis acquired from salvage. Power coupling realigned. Internal panel — third regulator — was wired backward. Corrected. Optical sensor recalibrated. The unit cycled through Greeting Protocol Three unprompted during testing. Deactivated voice module. Will reinstate once the subroutine source is identified. Unit now standing silent in the workshop corner. Brass has not asked why. The invoice covers materials only. Labor was quiet.”

(No signature. No sender identifier. The log entry appeared at 03:00 server time. The timestamp is presumed accurate — the Blingtron’s internal clock was also calibrated.)

Entry 07-25: Helmet Protocol
#

“Questioned about helmet removal by Freyneese during tea break. Declined. Freyneese suggested it would ‘build unit cohesion.’ Informed her that the last person who asked to see under the helmet is still being tracked by a subcontractor she has not met. Tea break resumed without incident. Cohesion intact.”
