Overview
Race: Night Elf (Kaldorei) Class: Priest (Shadow/Discipline) Age: 2,000 years old (appears late twenties) Height: 6'2" (188cm) - tall and statuesque Server: Moon Guard (US) Professions: Engineering, Alchemy
The Ancient Optimist
At 2,000 years old, Reyneese has witnessed civilizations rise and fall. She’s survived the War of the Ancients, the Sundering, the Long Vigil, the Third War, the Cataclysm, and every expansion in between.
And despite it all - or perhaps because of it - she remains calm, hopeful, and believes that kindness matters.
She’s also never paid rent and doesn’t understand what a budget is. That’s what Brasskeese is for.
Physical Appearance
- Height: 6'2" (188cm) - tall statuesque night elf, commands gentle presence
- Build: Slender graceful with mature feminine proportions, poised upright posture
- Hair: Voluminous silver-white with grey undertones, wild textured waves gathered in loose low ponytail with abundant flyaways framing face, shoulder-blade length
- Eyes: Luminous pale blue with silver starlight flecks, softly glowing (night elf trait), gentle knowing gaze
- Skin: Porcelain fair with subtle lavender undertones, ethereal smooth complexion
- Ears: Moderately short tapered night elf ears (shorter than typical - suggesting wisdom/age in night elf culture)
- Clothing: Flowing white ceremonial robes with intricate gold embroidery, elegant draping fabrics, practical underneath (she’s learned some things in 2,000 years)
- Accessories: Wooden staff (ancient, well-worn), always has tea nearby, small satchel of herbs
Personality
Surface: Serene Wisdom
Calm optimist who wants to spread joy and hope. Serene maternal warmth with ancient wisdom in youthful features. Gentle knowing smile. Patient teacher. Spiritual and emotional guidance specialist. “I’ve seen this before. It passes.”
Core: The Survivor
She’s seen civilizations fall - the Sundering literally tore the world apart - and she’s still here. Still kind. Still hopeful. That takes profound strength, not naivety. The calm isn’t emptiness; it’s hard-won peace after millennia of chaos.
The Balance: Shadow and Light
Reyneese walks the line between Shadow and Discipline (Light) perfectly. She understands that darkness and light coexist, that both are necessary, that balance is wisdom. This makes her uniquely suited to help others navigate their own contradictions.
The Hilarious Gap: Practical Ignorance
Ancient wisdom about philosophy, magic, history, and the nature of existence? Absolutely.
Understanding rent, budgets, contracts, or modern social conventions? Completely lost.
She spent 2,000 years in wilderness, temples, and meditation - not cities or society. She defers cheerfully to Brasskeese on all practical matters and admits she’s never paid rent because “what is rent exactly?”
Backstory
Early Life (0-500 years)
Born in ancient Kalimdor before the Sundering. Trained in temples of Elune. Learned healing and shadow arts - the balance between light and dark. Showed natural aptitude for both. Became priestess young.
The War of the Ancients & Sundering (500-600 years)
Survived the War of the Ancients. Witnessed the Sundering - the world literally breaking apart. Lost many friends, teachers, sacred places. This could have broken her. Instead, it taught her that everything changes, and we endure.
The Long Vigil (600-1,500 years)
Spent centuries in Ashenvale and Moonglade. More wilderness than civilization. Studied ancient magics, healing arts, and philosophy of balance. This is where she developed her calm center and deep wisdom - but also where she missed learning about “modern” concepts like economics.
Recent Centuries (1,500-2,000 years)
Witnessed Third War, Cataclysm, and every expansion. Saw younger races struggle with issues night elves faced millennia ago. Developed her gentle teaching approach - not “I know better” but “I’ve seen this pattern before.”
Wandered Azeroth seeking wisdom and peace. Lurks in capital cities observing people. Spends time in quiet places making tea and contemplating.
Finding the Warband (Recent)
Encountered this chaotic group and felt needed for first time in centuries. Not worshipped, not feared, not asked for ancient wisdom - just needed as family. Became their emotional and spiritual anchor. Finally has home again.
Role in Warband
- Combat Role: Healer and support DPS (Discipline/Shadow hybrid)
- Social Role: Emotional and spiritual guidance, the calm center during chaos
- Emotional Role: Handles hearts, philosophy, existential questions - co-parent with Brasskeese

Reyneese and Brasskeese form the “Two Moms” of the warband - Reyneese handles emotions/philosophy (2,000 years wisdom), Brass handles practical/survival (58 years street-smarts). Different approaches, united in fierce love for their found family.
Signature Traits
- Always has tea - appears with cups at perfect moments
- Deadpan observations about young races’ drama: “Your lifespan is 80 years and you’re stressed about next week?”
- “I remember when this was all forest” energy - but never condescending
- Gentle but firm - never raises voice but commands respect
- Admits practical ignorance cheerfully - “I’ve never paid rent. What is rent exactly?”
- Ancient knowledge drops - casually mentions witnessing major historical events
- Wings - has ethereal priest wings (cosmetic), adds to her mystical presence

Relationships
Within the Warband
Brasskeese (Supporting - The Matriarch) Co-parent and fellow mom. Mutual respect between them - Reyneese handles hearts, Brass handles survival. Occasional disagreements about priorities but always united front. Weekly tea time to discuss “the kids.” “The elf means well but never paid rent” (Brass, affectionate exasperation).
Vyrneese (The Ancient Weapon) Gentle patience treating her as younger sister despite 18,000-year age gap. Helps Vyrneese process ancient trauma and learn present world. “You remember the past, I help you live in the present.” Unique bond of shared ancient memories.
Zyneese (The Ice Queen) Sees through Zyneese’s ice facade. Offers silent support when needed. Philosophical debates where Zyneese plays devil’s advocate. Reyneese appreciates the intelligence beneath the sarcasm. Questions the optimism but respects the survivor.
Lulureese (The Sunshine Chaos) Protective but lets her be free. Appreciates Lulu’s joy as antidote to ancient sadness. “She reminds me why we keep going.” Gentle guardian watching over pure heart.
Avelreese (The Reluctant Knight) Mentors in balancing duty and desire. Helps Ave see duty can be chosen, not just imposed. “Choose your path, then walk it with conviction.” Philosophical guidance for identity crisis.
Character Development
Current Journey
Learning to engage with practical modern world while maintaining ancient wisdom. Discovering that found family is different from the communities she knew before - more intimate, more chosen, more precious.
What She Gives
Perspective. Hope. Gentleness. The knowledge that pain passes, that change is constant, that kindness matters even when (especially when) the world is chaos. Tea.
What She Receives
Purpose. Being needed not for wisdom but for presence. Family who accepts her imperfect knowledge (she may not understand rent, but she understands hearts). Reason to stay connected to the present instead of lost in past.
Fun Facts
- Has never paid rent, doesn’t fully understand currency economy (bartering made sense!)
- Can describe pre-Sundering geography in detail, can’t navigate a modern contract
- Knows 47 different ways to brew tea, each for different emotional states
- Once mentioned casually meeting Tyrande, everyone freaked out, she was confused why
- Favorite place is still quiet forest groves - some things don’t change in 2,000 years
- Whispers to plants (they grow better, she swears)
- Has witnessed the “end of the world” three separate times, remains optimistic
- Collects unique teacups from different eras
The Shadow and Light
Reyneese embraces both Shadow and Discipline specs, understanding that:
- Darkness isn’t evil, it’s balance
- Light isn’t always gentle, it can burn
- Wisdom is holding contradictions
- Strength is choosing kindness after seeing cruelty
- Hope is believing in dawn after living through countless nights
This makes her uniquely suited to help others with their contradictions - Vyrneese (weapon vs person), Zyneese (walls vs vulnerability), Avelreese (duty vs desire).
